LIGHT SPEED III

Built in 2002 - the newest in our fleet. It has won the national championship in Solar BikeRayce 2002 and has raced in Solar BikeRayce 2003.


LIGHT SPEED II

Built in 2000 - Light Speed II is the replacement for Light Speed and it is the most efficient solar vehicle, utilizing the wheel motor. An average speed of 42 MPH at the ZEV Challenge.


LIGHT SPEED

Built in 1998 - set a national speed record (100 km in 2 hours 21 minutes) in the Solar BikeRayce USA in Kansas.


Legacy Vehicles

The Los Altos Academy of Engineering has created a number of solar and electrical vehicles since its inception. Information and specifications on our electric and solar vehicles are posted in this section.
